- How do cells interact to form tissues?
- How do tissues build up organs?
- How are these processes disturbed in human disease?
We study the cellular and molecular basis of such fundamental questions in the nervous system during development and regeneration. Our efforts are focused on the role of neural stem cells and the interactions between neurons and myelinating cells, oligodendrocytes that are distressed in Multiple Sclerosis and Schwann cells that are disturbed in Peripheral Neuropathies.
